After experiencing the inaugural Design Like Mad event in Madison in 2014, I brought the idea to Milwaukee. In the Spring of 2015 I organized a 12-hour "Design Marathon" to benefit local non-profits along with co-organizer Jillian Duckwitz and a talented team of volunteers. Design Like Mad MKE brought together 65+ designers, developers, and copywriters to donate 12 hours of design work to 24 area nonprofits, with a final value of over $40,000.
More recently, Jill and I shared our experiences and a refined process outline with a new team who has rebooted the idea locally as DesignMil.
